I’ve spent more than 15 years working in the trades as a Red Seal Mechanic, Millwright and Field Technician across the automotive, warehousing, utilities, industrial, commercial and mining sectors, and 10 years managing health and safety across Western Canada. My work has taken me throughout British Columbia, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories, often in remote, high-risk and physically demanding environments.
That hands-on experience shaped the way I approach health and safety. I understand what it’s like to be the person doing the work — operating equipment, working around hazards, managing changing conditions and finding practical ways to get the job done safely. My approach to safety is built on that experience: practical, field-driven and designed to work in the real world.
I hold the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST) designation through BCRSP and National Construction Safety Officer (NCSO) certification. I’ve since brought my field experience into HSE management roles, developing and implementing safety programs that are practical for workers, effective for management and built to hold up where it matters most — on site.
Outside of safety, I’m a father and spend as much time as I can with my family, exploring Canada and making the most of the time we have together. I also compete as a rally co-driver in the Canadian Rally Championship — a passion that has reinforced the importance of preparation, communication, precision and staying calm under pressure.
Safety isn’t just something I manage. It’s something I’ve lived.
I started North Okanagan Safety because I’ve seen too many fractured safety cultures — programs that exist on paper but never really take hold on the ground. I pride myself on building strong relationships, both inside a company and with the people it works with, because that’s what actually drives continuous improvement. My goal with every client is the same: make safety simple, manageable, achievable, relatable and sustainable — not a stack of paperwork nobody reads.
